Stay Active with Arthritis Exercises Through Dance for Arthritis

Keeping active is vital for people living with arthritis. This is because exercise increases strength and flexibility which can help to decrease arthritis symptoms like joint pain and fatigue.

Several studies have found people suffering from arthritis had improvement in mobility and joint pain, as well as positive changes in depression, anxiety, fatigue and tension when participating in a dance program once a week.

Arthritis Queensland have partnered with Queensland Ballet to develop this ONLINE group dance program to help people living with arthritis to get active with movements that are safe and beneficial to arthritis management.

Queensland Ballet is a professional ballet company that offers inclusive workshops and endeavours to connect people and dance.

About Dance for Arthritis

Dance for Arthritis is a virtual group dance program designed to help people living with arthritis increase their physical activity while having fun. This means that, each week you can join your arthritis exercise dance class from the comfort of your own home with a dance teacher guiding you through a live dance class

As a 10-week arthritis exercise program, we’ll stay with you at each step of the way. We can help to keep you motivated, offer support, and also provide additional resources so you can incorporate safe movement into your lifestyle. All dance classes are beginner-friendly and arthritis-friendly; no prior dance experience required!

With the support of the Dance for Arthritis community, we can help ensure you’re living life to the fullest.
