Child Safety
The Arthritis Movement is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who engage with our programs, services, events, and activities.
We take reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent, detect, and respond to child safety risks, including:
- Child-safe Codes of Conduct for staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners
- Appropriate screening and due diligence for roles involving contact with children, including Working With Children / Blue Card checks and National Police Checks where required
- Safeguarding awareness and training for staff and volunteers
- Clear processes for identifying, reporting, and responding to child safety concerns, including compliance with mandatory reporting laws
- Ongoing review of safeguarding risks across our operations
