Chill & Chat August: In-Person Coffee and Walk Brisbane
Come join us for a coffee and a walk! Our Coffee & Walking Group is a relaxed, low-pressure catch-up for young adults living with arthritis who want to connect, move gently, and enjoy a good coffee along the way. We’ll take a short, arthritis-friendly walk at a comfortable pace, with plenty of breaks and flexibility — followed by time to sit, chat, and get to know other people living with arthritis over coffee. Whether you’re looking to meet others, ease back into movement, or just enjoy a casual morning out with people who understand life with arthritis, you’re very welcome to join us.
Chill & Chat September: Navigating Exercise and Movement with Arthritis
We’ll be chatting about all things movement and exercise. From finding ways to stay involved in the activities you love (even when arthritis makes them more challenging), to building confidence with exercise, and navigating the often-confusing advice online about strength training vs cardio, and how all of that fits into having an arthritis diagnosis. Whether you’re looking to get back into movement, try something new, or just want to connect with others who get it, this is a space to ask questions, share experiences or just sit back and learn more.
Upcoming Webinar Sessions
Sleep Solutions for Arthritis
Struggling to get a good night’s sleep because of pain, stiffness, or discomfort? You’re not alone. Sleep challenges are common for people living with arthritis and can have a big impact on energy, mood, and overall wellbeing. In this webinar, we’ll explore the connection between arthritis and sleep, uncover common barriers to restful sleep, and share practical, evidence-based strategies to help you rest more comfortably.
Do Supplements Really Help Arthritis?
With shelves full of powders, capsules, and “joint health” blends, it’s easy to wonder – do supplements really make a difference for arthritis? In this webinar, we’ll take a clear, evidence-based look at the most commonly used supplements for arthritis, including what the research actually shows about their benefits, limitations, and safety. We’ll also explore why responses can vary between individuals, and how supplements fit (or don’t fit) into a broader, effective self-management plan.
Why Muscle Strength Matters for Arthritis
When living with arthritis, it’s easy to focus only on joints but your muscles play a powerful role in protecting them. Strong muscles help support and stabilise joints, reduce strain, improve movement, and can even help lower pain over time. In this webinar, we’ll explore why muscle strength is such a key part of arthritis management, how it influences pain and function, and what happens when muscles weaken due to pain or inactivity. You’ll also learn practical, safe ways to build and maintain strength no matter your age, fitness level, or arthritis type.
