A new diagnosis might change the way you live, see yourself, or how you relate to others, but it is important to know that you are not alone.
There are a range of health professionals that can form your support group, make it easier to manage your symptoms, feel in control and even delay further progression.
You can meet some of these professionals in the videos below and find out what role they might have in helping you to continue to live well
with arthritis.

Not everyone in your life will understand just how challenging life with arthritis can be. Speaking with someone who has gone through it all
before can really help.
Arthritis Assist is a telephone support service that can connect you with a fully trained peer mentor who lives with arthritis just like you. They understand what you’re going through and are there to listen when you need it. Register to speak with a peer-mentor here or phone 1800 011 041
Arthritis Queensland's online support groups are a caring
space for people living with arthritis to connect and share support.
There are three groups including the Arthritis Men’s Support Group, Swell Gals and the Juvenile Arthritis Parents and Families group, which are supported volunteer Moderators who also live with arthritis and who help ensure the groups are a safe and respectful place for people to access support, and learn from others.
Arthritis Queensland and Arthritis New South Wales are Members of The Arthritis Movement. Please note that there will be a transition period while our financial and administrative structures are finalised. During this time, we ask that you still donate and make other payments to Arthritis Queensland or Arthritis NSW depending on which state you reside in, which will continue to issue receipts.
