What is Workplace Giving?
Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for you to regularly donate to The Arthritis Movement through your employer’s payroll system. Under a workplace giving deduction program, any donations you make directly reduce your taxable income. This is the easiest way to give. Just set it up with your employer, they coordinate the donations to your favourite charities, and you don’t need to worry about collecting receipts throughout the year.
Many employers already have a workplace giving program in place. If not, why not encourage your employer to set up one in-house? Alternatively, The Arthritis Movement is registered with Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) who administers contributions for over 500 Australian charities. Their new platform Good 2 Give makes it easy for Workplace Giving donors to have total control over their personal giving. For more information visit the Good 2 Give website.
Your donation will help us to provide support, practical information, and guidance to adults and children living with the pain of arthritis and osteoporosis. We offer services for people with arthritis through our free Infoline and community education programs. Your contribution also helps us to invest in research for a cure and better treatments for arthritis.
Benefits of Workplace Giving
There are many reasons why Workplace Giving is one of the best ways to give to charity:
-
It’s all organised by your payroll
-
It eliminates the need to collect receipts and wait until the end of the year to claim tax credits
-
Your donation is pre-tax so it will cost you less than the amount we receive from your payroll office
-
Giving this way keeps our administration costs down so more of your gift goes directly to supporting people living with arthritis
-
Some employers even choose to match employee donations, doubling the impact of your support
