2014/2015 Impact Report Released
Arthritis Queensland has released the 2014/2015 Impact Report showcasing the achievements of the year in education, support and fundraising for Queenslanders living with Arthritis. Thank you to all of the dedicated supporters of Arthritis Queensland. We couldn’t do it without you. Together we raised $260,396 for support and education services and $207,389 for research.
Despite the current difficult economic climate your assistance of Arthritis Queensland has enabled us to invest more money in grassroots services and research. With your support we aim to continue that trend in 2015 and beyond because the incidences of both arthritis and osteoporosis are not decreasing, but increasing with our ageing population.
To meet these needs we will increase our educator hours to help ensure that when a person calls the Arthritis Helpline desperate for support, a caring health professional answers. Queensland is a large state, but we also aim to visit more regional areas and do more seminars in south east Queensland as well.
The next seminar is on the Sunshine Coast on the 11th August and a new calendar of events will be available on our website soon. We know sometimes talking to someone face-to-face is the best way to help people manage their arthritis.
