Self-management Courses
New Self Management Courses for 2010
Arthritis Queensland is launching 2 new condition-specific self-management courses, a new 2 week Challenging Pain workshop, in addition to our existing self management courses. The self management courses Arthritis Queensland is now offering are:
- Osteoarthritis of the Knee (OAK)
- Rheumatoid/Inflammatory Arthritis (RA-P)
- Arthritis Self-Management Course
- Challenging Pain Workshop
Self-management courses are designed to give the skills to lead active and satisfying lives, in spite of having arthritis or other long-term health conditions.
These conditions can lead to symptoms such as pain, fatigue, depression, frustration and decreased fitness, making life seem an uphill battle.
At the self-management courses you will learn:
- Information on your condition
- How to manage your symptoms.
- How to lessen your frustration.
- How to fight fatigue.
- How to make daily tasks easier.
