Arthritis Queensland depends on the support of members to help make a real difference to peoples’ lives. By joining Arthritis Queensland, you will help to ensure that our vital work continues.

- Our information-packed magazine Joint News, featuring news, tips and helpful information about the issues that affect you is posted to your home quarterly.
- Members with osteoporosis also receive Osteoblast three times a year.
- Use of our Resource Centre, which has an extensive collection of books, DVDs and CDs on arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions. You can borrow items by post and we can recommend a reading list for your condition.
- Advance notice of arthritis and osteoporosis seminars.
- Help to locate a Tai Chi for Arthritis class near you.
- Get talking to other people with a musculoskeletal condition. We have support groups around Queensland, where people can come together and share information and encouragement.
- Information about and access to the latest books, DVDs and other products and services to help you live with your musculoskeletal condition.
- Information and support for children, young people and families dealing with juvenile arthritis.

Member Library
The Arthritis Queensland member library is committed to providing access to quality information to people living with arthritis and other related musculo-skeletal conditions.
Opening hours
Library is open between 9.00am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Anyone is welcome to visit and use the library facilities; however borrowing is only available to members of Arthritis Queensland. Our telephone information service is happy to recommend suitable books to members.
The library collection contains
Books
Topics covered include: musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, gout; as well as books on pain management, exercise and surgery.
DVDs
Physical activity programs including the Tai Chi for Arthritis series.
Borrowing and renewing
Members may borrow up to three items at a time for a period of two weeks. Extensions are granted on request.
If a member is unable to visit the library in person, we are happy to post the items to you free of charge, however, the return postage is your responsibility.
It is the responsibility of the borrower to maintain items in good condition whilst in their possession. If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair the borrower will be charged the replacement cost of the item plus a processing fee.
