About Us


Mission Statement

Arthritis Queensland (which incorporates Osteoporosis Queensland) is a non-profit organisation, helping those living with the conditions of arthritis and osteoporosis. A community freed of the pain and disability of arthritis and osteoporosis is the Foundation’s ultimate goal. To this end, Arthritis Queensland strives to improve the quality of life for all Queenslanders affected by these disabilities and thereby indirectly alleviates the economic and social costs of arthritis and osteoporosis to the Queensland community.

About Arthritis Queensland

Arthritis Queensland (which incorporates Osteoporosis Queensland) is a not-for-profit organisation reliant upon grants funding, sponsorships, bequests, donations and other types of corporate and community support.

Funds raised go to support arthritis research and the provision of information and support services for people affected by arthritis, osteoporosis and related conditions, including quality training and education programs.

Education - Education seminars for the general public and also health professionals are held regularly throughout Queensland on both arthritis and osteoporosis.

Support - Arthritis Queensland endorse many support groups throughout Queensland. To find the nearest support group to you, call our office or please send an email.

Research - Arthritis Queensland supports research into a cure for arthritis and osteoporosis.

Arthritis Queensland contributes significant research funding into the search for a cure for rheumatoid arthritis. This initiative is conducted in partnership with the University of Queensland and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Arthritis Queensland supports research ventures into many other areas of arthritis.

Arthritis Queensland contributes annually to the Arthritis Australia Research fund.
