Camp Courageous & Little Warrior JIA Weekend

Zoe's Angels in conjunction with Arthritis Queensland are offering children with JIA two opportunities to meet other Queenslanders living with juvenile arthritis, have fun and be adventurous.

Camp Couragous (for children with JIA aged 10-17)

Update: Camp Courageous is now full with 16 children living with juvenile arthritis set to attend in the September school holidays.

Zoe's Angels in conjunction with Arthritis Queensland will be hosting Queensland's first camp for children living with JIA in many years. It will provide the opportunity for kids with arthritis to go to camp in a safe and supportive environment. They test their boundaries through a number of physical challenges, but also learn how to better manage their condition.

Date:  September 25 – 28th (inclusive)

Time: To be confirmed

Where: YMCA Camp Warrawee, 81 Byrnes Road North, Joyner Qld

If your child is attending please ensure you have your child's shirt size to Di Smith for camp t-shirts ASAP on zoesangels@ozemail.com.au or phone 0411 121 198 for more details.

Please note: For both of these events we ask the participants to provide a letter from their doctor confirming they are under the care of a rheumatologist.

Little Warrior's JIA Weekend (for children aged under 10 and their families)

Update: Little Warrior JIA Weekend applications have closed

Zoe's Angels would like to offer 10 Little JIA Warrior's and their families a Weekend get together, at Sea World Nara Resort on November 7 and 8, 2015. The weekend package offered at the expense of Zoe’s Angels includes:

  • One night's accommodation  on Saturday the 7th of November at the Nara Resort
  • Breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children OR 1 adult and 3 children
  • 2 day unlimited access to the park.

Travel to Sea World, dinner and lunch will also be at your own expense.

Zoe's Angels has been fundraising to help Queensland families who have a child diagnosed with JIA. We are very aware that when one child is suffering a Chronic illness, often their siblings are affected right alongside them.

This weekend is designed for children who are too young to attend our Camp in September (under 10 years old) we would like to offer you and your family the chance to have a fun weekend getting to know one another. Our main goal is for the children to realise, they are not alone in their illness.

Once we have confirmation and interest from 10 families, we will go ahead and book the weekend. Please note that we will choose the first 10 families to apply. Please email Di Smith on  zoesangels@ozemail.com.au or phone 0411 121 198 ASAP, with your name, number of family members attending and contact details.
