Arthritis Awareness Week
It’s Time to Move
29 May – 4 June 2016

Arthritis Awareness Week is the time when we ask everyone living with arthritis, their families and friends to join together and stand up for everyone living with arthritis. Together we can break down the stereotypes around arthritis and raise our voices for more funding for research into treatments, potential cures and better access to services.

Arthritis Queensland is running a 10,000 Step Challenge for Arthritis Awareness Week (29 May – 4 June) to raise awareness of the challenges facing over 600,000 men, women and children with arthritis.  Physical activity is recommended by health professionals as one of the best treatments for arthritis, and is also a way for all of us to keep our joints healthy! Register now and make every step count!
 

We can’t do this on our own, but as a team we can join together, support each other and achieve more. We will be setting group challenges and sharing the journey. Sign up today!

The Challenge:

Challenge your friends, family or colleagues to get active every day for seven days during Arthritis Awareness Week.  Individuals and teams can set a goal that works for them:

  • 10,000 steps a day (or any challenge that works for that person or group)
  • Walk, bike, swim, dance, do yoga – define the activity that works for you
  • Commit as a team to walk the distance of the Great Wall of China, Mount Everest, or the Great Ocean Road!
  • Participate in our corporate challenge. For more information download the flyer.

Get Started:

  • Sign up online at www.timetomove.net.au and register as a part of team or for an individual challenge. 
  • Raise funds for arthritis services and research into a cure by sharing on social media and asking friends and family to donate.
